Disaster Preparedness Training / Clinical Training
OODRON's training programs are tailored to the target population and designed to enhance Emergency Medicine and Disaster Preparedness.
During routine work, we provide additional training for Emergencies and Disasters.
OODRON's programs are developed by policymakers from the organizations based on an in-depth assessment of needs and local requirements.
It is our foundation stone to build our intervention following discussions with local decision-makers and focus groups of local care providers.
We believe that training programs and procedures must provide high-impact interventions within the limitations of the local environment.
Authorities, instructors, and international supporters must be organized to ensure sustainable medical care delivery.
Medical and Nursing Training
MCI requires cooperation among multi-disciplinary teams (physicians, paramedical team & nurses).
Trauma Nurses (TN) are key team members who manage the treatment and care of Trauma Patients in routine and MCI.
Qualified TN can function in stressful situations & rapid changes in the department.
The role of TN, when working in a trauma setting, Disaster & MCI, may change due to environments, cusses, communities, and resources.
TN function should be based on a diverse educational background.
Although the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) approach may change in MCI, it helps to function in uncertain situations, maintain standards of care, and achieve the optimal outcomes of Trauma and MCI casualties.
ODRON's team will help TN understand the Trauma Care and Trauma System in MCI and Disaster, including the classification of trauma injuries in MCI and the application of the MCI preparedness approach to participants in specific situations.
A trauma case study was led by a senior physician at Dhulikhel Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal, during the Trauma & MCI Course.
A few months after the training course, Dulikhel Hospital experienced a high-level magnitude earthquake, which caused a large number of injuries.
The hospital staff coped with the MCI using the MCI methods learned during the course provided by the ODRON team.
